Pleated (harmo) mosquito screens
Pleated (harmo) screen is the latest type of horizontal mosquito screen used for the protection against insects on bigger surfaces. It consists of a pleated polycarbonate net with ropes inside it.
This system enables the net to be stretched and ensures the sturdiness of the mosquito screen itself. The corners of the net contain PTFE screws which prevent the wear and tear of the ropes, thus making the nets more durable and reliable.
Their frame is made of high-strength extruded aluminium, while the net is resistant to minor scratches and is made of weather insensitive polycarbonate fibers.
The net doesn’t significantly impede normal air flow or ventilation.
According to the size of the opening, there are two types of these mosquito screens: PIETTA and ROYAL.
PIETTA mosquito screen is usually a one-piece screen with maximum width of 190 cm, maximum height of 260 cm and a cross section of 22 mm.
ROYAL mosquito screen is used for bigger openings. The openings can be up to 600 cm wide and 260 cm high. In those cases, we make two or three-piece mosquito screens that are attached to each other by magnets. Their cross section is 33 mm.
Sliding profile consists of two channels.
The first channel contains ropes which move over rollers. The ropes go to the upper part of the mosquito screen without getting into contact with dirt.
The second channel contains a metal cable that is connected to the rest of the ropes and goes to the bottom part of the mosquito screen. All debris and dust stay in the second channel. Therefore the rest of the ropes stay protected.

Rope rollers in medium, traction profile.
Roller for medium traction profile on the lower guide with silicone rubbers.
Both types of pleated mosquito screens can be delivered in white and brown colours.
